Today, we had the honour of welcoming the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Enugu State, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, who led the official commissioning of the EERC office at No 2 Forest Crescent, off Forest close GRA, Enugu State, to function from there as an independent regulatory authority come 22nd October, 2024.
The EERC was established under the Enugu State Electricity Law No. 1 of 2023, with a clear mandate to regulate electricity operations in Enugu State. Our mission is to develop a commercially viable, sustainable, and reliable electricity market that benefits all residents of the state.
This commissioning marks a significant milestone in our journey towards ensuring that Enugu State's electricity sector operates efficiently and transparently, fostering growth, innovation, and energy access for all.
We look forward to working closely with stakeholders, investors, and the community to build a stronger, more resilient energy sector in Enugu State.
